2. Azymuth's version is the first time that I heard the tune "Outubro" upon it's original release, composed by Milton Nascimento. It wasn't until late last year that I finally heard Milton's original composition, which I stumbled upon when going through the used jazz cd bin at one of my two favorite record stores, Street Corner Music in Southfield /5(21).

6. From Outubro (October) is the Brazilian Trio Azymuth’s follow up to their lauded ‘Light As A Feather’ and is a fusion of hard Jazz samba, funk rock and psych electronica. 7. Outubro is Azymuth's tribute recording, in a sense, to their Brazilian brothers and sisters. It leans heavily on José Roberto Bertami's Fender Rhodes as a direct means of communication, with gorgeous guitar and bass work by Alex Malheiros, and top-notch drumming by Ivan Conti, who engages the tonal and programming reaches of the ARP The album was recorded in and its first nine cuts.
